DON'T TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT! Go to our Facebook page where we discuss horse health and thrush/scratches issues with real horse owners.

On these pages you will find the answers to all your questions, but for starters, here is a quick breakdown of how NT will drastically improve your horse's hoof health.  (BE SURE TO CLICK ON THE "How It Works" page!)

1. Attacks active thrush in 4-7 days
2. NT is a non-caustic powder that will NOT burn tissue. Continue to use regularly to help heal the heel cracks (which is where thrush thrives and breeds most!)
3. When the heel crack is closed, continue a once-weekly dusting as maintenance/preventive.

For the first time NO THRUSH® allows us the "stay ahead" of Thrush -- instead of "chasing it." (Also works GREAT on Scratches, Mud Fever, and  and Rain Rot.)

Heel crack - from the inside

IMPORTANT! Before we dive into discussions of the NT product, we want to first discuss the #1 REASON our horses have "recurring" thrush: HEEL CRACKS (an opening in the sulcus between the heel bulbs). These cracks are wounds and should not exist. We will discuss heel cracks extensively on this site, but they are so important we feel they should get top-billing. Take a look at these two pictures.

To the left is a typical heel crack. Notice how deep the pick disappears inside that crack? Now look closely at the model above. If this horse had a sulcus crack, the pick would be entering live, tender tissue. The good news is: No Thrush ® will aid heel regrowth - Without damaging live tissue with caustic chemicals. Keep reading below:

No Thrush ®  is the first ever "DRY" approach to thrush treatment. It's Safe, All-Natural formula is "dusted on" with a thin-tipped squeeze bottle, which provides excellent coverage of the infected area. The ingredients have been ground into a fine powder. It coats the area of the infection just as flour coats and stays on your hands while baking. No Thrush finds the damp, deep-in places that wet products can’t find. In fact, the developer asked: "Why put a "Wet" product on a "Wet" infection? Isn't that counter-productive?" Won't burn your horse's tender tissue with chemicals!

       DAY 1                                    DAY 4

Day 4 - after No Thrush
No-Thrush ®

"I first witnessed the power of No Thrush while treating an A.O. Jumper who was suffering from months of severe thrush. In a matter of days after using No Thrush, the thrush was gone. We have continued on a No Thrush maintenance program, with no relapses, and the horse is now being re-conditioned to competitive show levels. Impressive product. Well Done.

Apply one dusting a day. Make sure powder gets into all cracks and crevices. Quick and easy. The natural, non-toxic mineral salts attack the bacteria, while the proprietary blend of clays absorb moisture and draw thrush to the surface, keeping the area dry and inhospitable to thrush. The added mixtures of herbs soothe and encourage healing. ( See the independent study on the "press/testimonial" page - see the HORSE'S HOOF magazine article.

In the example above the (un-retouched) photos speak louder than words. No Thrush ® was used for four days. You be the judge of the results…. More pictures and case studies on the "How it Works." page.

No Thrush ® has also been shown effective against coat fungus and scratches!

[NOTE: There is a difference between "thrush treatment," and "horse healing." NO THRUSH treats in 4-7 days in which time you should no longer notice the black, wet mess. Do the "pick-test." Insert your pick into the thrush area and see if it comes out dry and clean. If so, this is proof that the bacteria is no longer active. Meanwhile for extreme, deep-sulcus cases , be sure to keep dusting whenever possible while the "healing" takes place. NO THRUSH promotes a positive healing environment. It is important to understand that your horse is susceptible to reoccurrence until the crevices and the area between the heel bulbs close and grow back with healthy tissue. Depending on the tissue damage created by months/years of thrush, this may take a few weeks. Be sure to click the "How It Works" link for extensive photos and usage tips.]

Quote from the Fall 2010 Issue of THE HORSE'S HOOF Magazine.... Read more on the Press / Testimonial page.

".....After a frustrating, expensive and time-consuming battle using nearly every product imaginable, she tried No Thrush. “I started an experiment on eight hooves, comparing daily dusting with No Thrush to daily soaking in Oxxxx Xx or a combination of the two. Three weeks later, the No Thrush treated frogs were not sensitive anymore, the heel bulbs were much firmer, the depth of the central sulcus was 50% shallower and the frog tissue was overall much firmer with no significant areas of surface thrush/cheesy frog. By comparison, the two Oxxxx Xx soaked frogs were still sensitive to pressure, still had deep central sulci and significant surface thrush."

How Does It Work? (Overview)
No Thrush ®
attacks the bacteria that cause thrush and related fungal infections with a combination of naturally occurring mineral salts that do not burn or harm the tender areas of the hoof.

Meanwhile a proprietary blend of moisture-bonding clays absorb and dry the excess moisture in the hoof – destroying potential breeding grounds that would allow thrush to return. (The "drawing" action of the specialized clays pull thrush and excess moisture from the deepest areas of the sulcus). Reducing this moisture also minimizes the offensive odor associated with thrush.

Finally, a combination of healing, refined ingredients, including Oregano Powder and Diatomaceous Earth, soothe the inner hoof and promotes healthy hoof regeneration. With the easy dust-on application, which finds all the dark places thrush thrives, results are obvious in just a few days. Glance at the pictures and let your eyes be the judge.

NOTE: Recent independent studies performed by U.C Davis PhD Researcher, in coordination with "The Horse's Hoof" Magazine found that NO THRUSH acts as a strong and reliable aid to recovery and regrowth, verses other products that may contol bacteria, but also damage/burn live tissue..

: ..."Thanks NO THRUSH ®.  My Grand Prix horse that I ride in A.O. Jumpers struggled with debilitating thrush  for over 18 months. My vets tried everything but were unable to rid the infection. I was introduced to No-Thrush ®, had my team use it for 5 days, and returned to find a perfect, dry, healthy foot. Thanks again!"

Below you will find LONG-TERM thrush treatment. (Active, typical thrush treatment occurs in 4-7 days.) But then we need to continue regular dusting until the heel cracks and tiny cracks into the frog are healed and closed. Too often horse owners treat thrush for a week or so, then forget about it.... and wait for thrush to return in 2-3 months. It WILL return because the crack is open to the interior of the tissue. Bacteria and moisture will collect inside, and the process begins again. These photo were provided by Josephine Trott, Ph.D., Animal Research, U.C. Davis California.

The photos demonstrate how the heel crack can and should be repaired. An open sulcus (which most folks call the "butt crack" ) is the clear indication that you are dealing with thrush. There should NOT be an opening here. Instead it should look like a chin-dimple. This horse has been regularly dusted for a total of 37 days. Now that the cracks are closed, they can be dusted once per week to maintain a solid protective barrier.
